Modularity in Design

We have been using modular elements in design since the inception of construction. Things like brick and stone, wood studs, steel members etc. are easier to create in multiples of the same units. I've begun to explore sculpting using a small number of modular elements to create diversity of the whole. This example uses two lengths, so only two kinds of building blocks to generate a more complex form.
